Oooooooh! Let REWIND back to the start of Pixar and bring an original animator, screenwriter, storyboard artist and voice actor from the beloved franchise. We have chosen Jeff Pidgeon to be a part of the first ever Rewind Washington convention on March 28th and 29th in Puyallup. Rewind Washington will feature guests from Film, Television, Music, and Sports.
Jeff is the voice of the Toy Story aliens, as well as Mr. Spell, Thaddeus Bile, and tertiary characters in A Bug’s Life, WALL-E, and Finding Nemo, among others.
Jeff Pidgeon grew up in Vermont loving drawing, comic strips and toys. He decided to study animation when Star Wars got him excited about filmmaking. Jeff credits many inspirations, among them Steven Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, Charles Schulz, Carl Barks, Ed Benedict, Jack Kirby, Tom Yohe, Harvey Kurtzman, Walt Kelly, Gerald Scarfe, Hank Ketcham, John Stanley, Dan DeCarlo, and Warren Kramer.
Graduating from college into a reviving industry, Jeff worked on such television shows as Mighty Mouse - The New Adventures, Tiny Toon Adventures, Taz-Mania, and The Simpsons. In 1991, Pixar contacted him to help develop a feature film released in 1995 as Toy Story. Its success began a thirty-three-year career at Pixar, where Jeff worked on Monsters. Inc, Lifted, Monsters University, WALL-E, Up, Turning Red and four Toy Story sequels. He designed characters and storyboarded sequences, helping to develop feature-length films, short subjects, merchandising, and theme park attractions. Beyond Pixar, Jeff has worked at Swaybox in New Orleans, and is working on a short film of his own.
Jeff has also designed and produced his own toys - of his Happy Beaver character, and Phineas J. Hornswoggle, the mascot of Trickster, a Bay Area comic shop/art gallery.
