"Number 5 is alive!" Please welcome Tim Blarney to the first ever Rewind Washington convention on March 28th and 29th in Puyallup. Rewind Washington will feature guests from Film, Television, Music, and Sports. This is the 40th Anniversary of the 1986 movie Short Circuit, and we are excited to bring Steve Guttenberg and the voice of Johnny 5 to the show.

Tim Blaney is an accomplished puppeteer and voice actor whose career spans several decades in film, television, animation, and video games. He has built a reputation for bringing quirky, memorable characters to life through a combination of vocal talent and puppet manipulation skills.

One of Blaney's most iconic contributions came early in his career with the voice and puppeteering of Johnny 5 (also known as Number 5), the lovable, self-aware robot in the 1986 sci-fi comedy Short Circuit and its 1988 sequel Short Circuit 2. His energetic, childlike delivery and expressive performance helped make the character a beloved pop culture figure.

Blaney achieved similar fame as the voice of Frank the Pug, the sarcastic, alien-disguised dog in the Men in Black franchise, including the 1997 original film, Men in Black II (2002), and Men in Black: International (2019). His gruff, deadpan tone perfectly captured the character's wisecracking personality, cementing Frank as a fan favorite.

Blaney has an extensive portfolio of credits that showcase his versatility. He provided the singing voice for the Goofy Goober in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004), performed puppetry for projects like Muppets Tonight, Mystery Science Theater 3000 (revival as Gypsy), Crank Yankers, and The Happytime Murders, and contributed voices to video games such as The Elder Scrolls series, World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, and others. He has many collaborations extending to Henson-related works, Team America: World Police, Muppets Most Wanted, and various TV appearances.
